We condemn the refusal of the Tea Party to support a financial reform bill with teeth that stops reckless fraud and abuse. The Tea Party’s refusal to hold Wall Street to higher standards proves that it is not a grassroots movement and is really just a wing of the national Republican Party and campaign vehicle for Sarah Palin.
We believe it is our patriotic duty to protect the American Dream, strengthen national security and provide for the common good of all Americans. We also work independently to elect candidates in targeted races who support these patriotic policies.

On September 3, 1777, the Stars and Stripes fly for the first time during a Revolutionary War battle at Cooch's Bridge, Maryland. Based on a resolution passed by the Continental Congress a few months prior, the flag sports alternating red and white stripes with thirteen stars representing the colonies.
